About who needs care: I will be having knee replacement surgery and I live alone and have minimal help. I'm not sure of exactly what I'll need help with, but I'm assuming getting dressed, mobility in the apartment, if needed, light housekeeping, meal preparation, assistance with exercises, errands and possible transport to physical therapy. I understand that this is a painful surgery, so I'd like to structure my day after the surgery is complete, I am home and can identify what it is that I actually need. The above are just assumptions. About the care needs: My ideal caregiver would be outgoing with a sense of humor. She would need to be strong enough to assist me in getting around the apartment and assist with my exercises. She should be able to cook and generally be a neat person. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
