About the job
Experience with dementia care is required. We’re looking for a caring, patient caregiver for my father, who has stage 4 dementia and diabetes. He spends most of his time watching TV and leaves the house only for errands or appointments. He’s beginning to need support with hygiene and meal preparation, may occasionally need help standing, and wears a fall-alert device for safety. Responsibilities: - Providing companionship and conversation - Medication reminders - Assisting with bathing and personal hygiene - Preparing simple meals as needed - Light tidying around the home - Driving him to appointments and errands (he still has his license, but we prefer you drive his truck as he can't get into smaller cars)
