About who needs care: Mom is pretty healthy but she does have trouble hearing and she has dementia. Mom had polio when she was a child, so she wears a leg brace. Mom was a reference librarian for years so she loves to read. I don't think she understands what she's reading but she likes it. Mom likes looking at the water, sleeping, driving around, and coffee. She's transferring from memory care in Falmouth, MA. She is used to sleeping 'til around 10 a.m. and they put her to bed around 5:30 p.m. I think that will be changing as we have a dog and cat, people over with their kids and animals, and relatives stopping by nearly every day. About the care needs: Mom is laid back. She needs some attention with her mobility (a walker), maybe some bathroom help. Not many meds. but I don't have a report from the Atria in Falmouth yet. She will need help with showering 2x's a week. I'd like her to have a professional to help dress her (she likes to pick) and undress her (for dignity). Services needed include: feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
