About who needs care: I have Parkinson's and have been told not to drive. I also broke my hip Oct. 8 amd am recpovering from surgery. My husband takes care of me and does the cooking and housework but he will be 90 in February and he needs help. Ideally I would have someone clean the house and put the trash out on the curb every other Monday but I understand that many people need to have the same schedule every week. About the care needs: I am recovering from surgery. My husband helps me shower and dress. I don't need help with toileting. We are disorglanized with papers stacked everywhere. I tend to have piles of stuff around my reclining chair. I do my best but if an organized person had ideas about how to place furniture more efficiently, I would be receptive. Since I can't drive, it would be nice if the person could drive me to an appointment when my husband had a conflict. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, and light housekeeping.
