About who needs care: My mom is 76 years old and she has Parkinsons disease that is progressing rapidly. She requires assist with dressing, bathing, toileting at times, making meals. She enjoys spending time with her grandchildren, going to lunch, getting her nails done, watching TV, chatting, and getting out and about. Her ideal day would be to have breakfast, get ready for the day, do some exercises, and get out a little bit for the day. About the care needs: Someone who is outgoing and can initiate conversation with her as her disease often limits her from bringing up topics. No special skills but she does need assistance with taking medications and she is a fall risk due to her blood pressure issues. We are looking for caregiver assist for nights and all day on weekends. We would also speak to someone who does live-in caregiving.
