About who needs care: She experiences shortness of breath when trying to get around although still somewhat independent. Outings would require a transit chair or rollator. Ideally her care taker would make sure she takes medications and eats/helps prepare lunch. Transport to medical appointments as necessary. I really think companionship is #1. She actually used to work as a caretaker for multiple people after retiring as a school teacher for 38yrs. About the care needs: My mom is very sarcastic and is experiencing signs of aphasia/dementia. Services needed include: transportation, companionship, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
