About who needs care: My mother broke her dominant wrist and is having trouble with many ADLs including transferring from toilet to walker, bed to walker, dressing, and cooking. My dad also needs some assistance with ADLs after a bout of Sepsis. He is currently in rehab. About the care needs: Good skills for transferring and giving fading assistance when ready. Good safety awareness and ability to problem solve. Communication skills are very important. My parents love to read and listen to classical music. Awareness of dementia is needed as my dad as moderate dementia. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
