She also experiences limited mobility and is a two-person assist for transfers, requiring help with bathing, dressing, repositioning, and toileting. She uses a wheelchair, a PureWick system, and other assistive equipment. Shes currently being treated for recurring urinary tract infections (UTIs) and needs help maintaining hygiene and comfort throughout the day. She also deals with shortness of breath due to lung issues and medication side effects, so caregivers should be mindful of pacing and rest breaks. Her personality is kind and appreciativeshe enjoys listening to gospel music, watching TV, and having calm conversation. Her ideal day includes a quiet morning, light meals, companionship, and gentle support throughout the day to help her feel safe and cared for. About the care needs: Were looking for a caregiver who has a kind heart, patience, and a good sense of humor someone who can keep my mom smiling and comfortable throughout the day. Experience with veterans or individuals who have served is a plus, as my mom is a proud veteran and appreciates being around people who understand that background. The caregiver should be experienced in using a Hoyer lift, PureWick system, and assisting with transfers for someone who is a two-person assist.
