About who needs care: I have a primary diagnosis of hydrocephalus and because of this I am in a wheelchair and use a hoyer lift. I have no feelings below the waist and as such I am incontinent and use adult briefs. I also need help with feeding as I have very bad fine motor control. I enjoy being out side as much as possible I am a coffee lover so anywhere with a Dunkin or Starbucks is great lol . I played poker mostly online now. I enjoy playing chess and most card games uno is my favorite non playing card game. I enjoy board games and I am a big fan of TV and all the streaming apps. I have to watch my shows you know. As far as the day structure if I'm not going to appointments then it is a whatever comes up kind of thing. I just got home from a very long nursing home stay so I'm kinda just learning what is out there instead of the nursing home environment. About the care needs: I only work with female caregivers due to trauma in my past. It will be helpful if they are healthy enough ( I understand everyone gets sick once in a while) so that they don't quit on me a week after being hired due to an illness or something. As for the care giver I am a happy go lucky person given my medical situation and having a peppy outgoing happy Care giver will help me in my off moments and compliment me when I'm feeling good Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
