About who needs care: They have Stage 4 Terminal Lung Cancer. She also has COPD and is on continuous oxygen that is monitored. This help would be in addition to the family members who already provide services. Currently, she is somewhat mobile, walking with a walker slowly. The caregiver will need to spot her while she walks to make sure her oxygen isn't getting tangled and make sure she is steady on her feet. Most of her day is going from the kitchen, bathroom, living room, and bedroom. She needs assistance/spotting while getting up. She will need assistance with incontinence needs. She will need someone to watch her take her pills and insulin. More details can be provided. About the care needs: We would like someone who is compassionate and kind but also firm/stern. Patient is headstrong and sometimes does not want to do specific tasks. Someone who will make sure she does what she needs to but also be kind about it. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
