About who needs care: She had a stroke but is currently in rehab, making steady progress to walk again. About the care needs: We are seeking a compassionate, responsible, and experienced live-in caregiver to support my 87-year-old mother, who is recovering from a stroke and will reside in her home in September 2025. The position includes free private housing, with no rent or utilities, in exchange for providing daily caregiving assistance and companionship. This is a live-in position with a flexible schedule and appropriate time off. Compensation may be discussed based on experience and scope of care. Responsibilities include: Assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and toileting. Medication reminders and light medical monitoring. Meal preparation and a little assistance with feeding. Light housekeeping and laundry. Companionship and emotional support Assistance with mobility or transfers (walker/wheelchair). Ideal candidate: Non-smoker. Has prior experience working with seniors or stroke recovery patients. Is patient, kind, and trustworthy. Is capable of maintaining a clean and safe living environment. Has good communication skills and is comfortable updating family members. CNA, HHA, or similar certification preferred but not required. Must be legally able to work in the U. S. and pass a background check. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
