About who needs care: My Uncle Scott has diabetes, asthma, congestive heart failure, mobility issues, and a lot of other medical issues. On good days he tries to go for small walks or work on his car; however, on bad days, he can barely get to and from the bathroom without falling. He spends most of his time in his room watching tv. Ideal caregiver can help him in the event of a fall get off the floor even though he weighs almost 300 pounds. About the care needs: Knowledgeable about insulin, oxygen machines (both permanent and mobile), wound care, mobility agents (cane, walker, wheelchair), and how to react in the event of an allergic reaction. Not necessarily but would definitely be a plus: knowledge about basic IT issues such as android phones, TV remote controls, ROKU, etc. Anyone who is strong willed and wont let him take no for an answer would be a good fit. An interest in cars is a plus but again not required. Caregiver would mostly be sitting with him in his room watching TV while we are at work until he needs help obtaining something or physically walking somewhere. Services needed include: transportation, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
