About who needs care: Inquiring about occasional care/ companionship for my parents to relieve my brother and his wife who do most caregiving as they live nearby. My Dad is 89 and mom is 88. They do live independently . They do not drive. My brothers family takes them everywhere they need to go. Appts, church, grocery etc. My Dad had Alzheimers but still does very well if he stays on a routine schedule.. He cooks breakfast, walks 4000 steps, He just has memory problems. Mom has dementia but still manages to do household tasks. They still bathe and care for themselves at this point. Medications are handled by my sister in law who is an RN. They are in a timed dispenser for each of them. About the care needs: Friendly, Christian (they are Catholic) some experience with elderly and dementia. Services needed include: companionship.
