About who needs care: Gael is a retired professor of Communications @ USI. He has Parkinson's and I'm his main caregiver. He has a 9:00, 1:00, 5:00, 9:00 daily medication regimen. Mobility is an issue some times, and his study is upstairs and our bedroom, too.. He's under a neurologist care and writes a yearly grant in order for us to get the expensive medication. He's 79 years old & I'm 77. He loves his computer and is terrific in his abilities and knowledge of it. He writes music & poetry almost on a daily basis . About the care needs: Technology literate and a good listener. Knowledge of his medication needs and help me in preparing sometimes and be able to be flexible and ok with me being gone partially while they're here. Small tasks of picking up & normal housekeeping and willing to prepare light lunch or supper. Gael has a great sense of humor and brain power beyond belief but Parkinson's is slowly affecting everything and is losing the battle with what he's taken for granted he can do by himself. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, and companionship.
