About who needs care: In August, my father was diagnosed with Stage 4 melanoma. There are no further treatment options and we are anticipating hospice care in the next two weeks and that the situation will continue to rapidly change. He is currently mobile in the home with a walker, able to dress, shower and use the facilities. He is on oxygen. He lives with his partner who is his primary care giver. She needs some support so she can leave the home to shop, exercise, see a friend at least a couple of times a week. About the care needs: Dad is passionate about nature, conservation, birds, butterflies, native plants. He is generally introverted and a little shy but loves to talk about his passions. He is able to and enjoys working at his computer. Services needed include: companionship, medication reminders, light meal prep.
