About who needs care: I am a 64-year-old woman living with multiple sclerosis (MS). I am seeking a reliable in-home care assistant to help me during the daytime hours while my husband is at work. The ideal person would assist with daily tasks that I can no longer manage independently, including: Preparing meals Laundry and light housekeeping Running errands (with or for me) and driving me to appointments, grocery shopping, or other outings Light home maintenance and seasonal decorating Taking our dog to the groomer or veterinarian Additionally, I use a mechanical lift for transfers and require assistance in and out of the bathroom. Minimal to none hygiene care needed. I am looking for someone kind, patient, and dependable who can help me maintain my independence and quality of life at home. About the care needs: I would like someone who is fun, enjoyable to visit with and likes shopping. They need to be dependable but require no specialized skills. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, and mobility assistance.
