She is bedbound for much of the day and uses a powered wheelchair for mobility, requiring two-person physical assistance and lift equipment for all transfers due to limited limb movement and severe spasticity. She communicates clearly, makes her own decisions, and enjoys using her computer to stay connected with friends and relatives around the world. She requires total assistance with bathing, dressing, hair washing, shaving, and all personal hygiene tasks. She is incontinent and relies on an indwelling catheter, colostomy bag, and iliac conduit bags, which can occasionally burst and require prompt caregiver support. She also needs assistance with positioning, pressure relief, and regular monitoring. 30-40 hours a week
