About who needs care: Need in home respite care 24 hours per day for a period of 1 week or so. Spouse caregiver needs a week or so break/vacation a couple time per year. The person needing care is a 71-year-old male that had a stoke 12 years ago. Needs his urinary catheter emptied every 3-4 hours plus bathing help. Can walk some but needs standby assistance. Needs meals prepared. Has one hand that us partially usable. Needs occasional help to eat. Every now and then needs bathroom help Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
