About who needs care: We are seeking a compassionate, trustworthy, and experienced female caregiver to provide daily care for my mother in our home in San Leandro, CA. My partner and I work from home via telehealth, so we are looking for someone who is comfortable working in a household where family members are present the majority of the time (but working). The position runs Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Responsibilities include offering warm companionship, assisting with activities of daily living such as safe support with toileting and personal hygiene, helping her complete physical therapy exercise routines, accompanying her to occasional medical appointments, preparing simple breakfast and lunch meals, performing light housekeeping tasks, and checking on her every 2030 minutes to ensure comfort and safety. The ideal candidate must have prior caregiving experience and must consent to background and reference checks. Reliability, patience, and a kind, respectful presence are essential for this role. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
