We need hands-on care to take care of my father. The hours are flexible. We just want someone to be there at some point in the mornings and in the late afternoon/evening. He can manage himself but when transitioning to The Walker or to a chair, I want someone there so he doesn't injure himself if he slips. So the only heavy lifting would be in those moments. He currently has a wound that is healing on his lower back that needs dressing three times a week. Otherwise he is able to feed himself dress himself and he very much wants to do this on his own as well as take his own medication, we would like someone there just to be sure. All is going well. Personally I want someone there to provide a little companionship as well - walks, chatting and backgammon hopefully. Preferences for a caregiver who is a non-smoker and CPR / first-aid trained.
