About the care needs: Someone compassionate, kind, patient, empathetic, reliable, consistent, reassuring, positive, and has clinical intuition. For instance, if he looks more pale, has a new cough, new confusion, or a dropping appetite, they would report it early to prevent a crisis. Experience with cancer patients and should understand chemo/immunotherapy fatigue, infection risk, swallowing issues, and appetite stimulation. ability to manage ADL's gently, meal preparation (soft diets, pureed foods, high-calorie small meals). Understanding infection precautions such as hand hygiene, mask use if needed, avoiding sick contacts, watching for fever, chills. CNA, CPR certified, experience with mobility devices (walker, wheelchair). Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
