Hello, I'm reaching out on behalf of my father, who needs a caregiver beginning as soon as Sunday, October 19, pending his discharge from acute rehab. We live in Loma Linda. He is 120 pounds with a right-sided deficit from a shoulder fusion, severe scoliosis, advanced prostate cancer, and extreme muscle weakness from prolonged under-eating. He walks with a cane but requires constant supervision and hands-on help for transfers and mobility due to high fall risk. We are seeking a 12-hour day shift (7 am-7 pm) to assist with morning/evening routines, showering, meals and hydration, therapy/exercise support, light household tasks, and outdoor activity when possible. Our most urgent concern is nutrition and hydration--we need someone compassionate, patient, and proactive who can encourage him when he feels exhausted or wants to give up.
