About who needs care: Alzheimers sufferer always cared for by her husband, who is also full-time employed. He needs a break! This is the night I'm throwing a Christmas party and I am hoping if I can get him a caregiver just to show up and maybe make dinner for his wife and sit with her just to make sure she is ok while he is out then he can come enjoy the party. I've never been in their home, but my friend is very much at the end of his strength so I can imagine the house is messy and dirty. But I'm not asking anyone to clean or organize it. If you could just tolerate it and give him a night off it would be awesome and maybe renew his strength. If someone was moved with compassion to clean the kitchen or a bathroom, though, that would be an amazing bonus. Definitely not required. About the care needs: Patient, tolerant, loving. Might need to know how to deal with Alzheimer's sufferers. Might need to help take an elderly Alzheimer's sufferer to the bathroom. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
