My 80-year-old father is in need of someone who can help him with daily activities. His wife of 45 years passed last year. She took very good care of him, so daily chores and anything to do with electronics and the internet are not his thing. He has Crohn's disease and has also been diagnosed with dementia; however, he is not yet at the stage where he needs full-time care. He needs someone who will laugh at his bad jokes and listen to his numerous business ideas (but not encourage him)! You must be patient, kind-hearted, and not mind a loud TV! You should be available 3-4 hours per day, 3-4 days per week to help with grocery shopping, meal prep, tidying/cleaning his apartment, laundry, companionship, and light grooming (trimming nails/hair).
