Our beloved 115-pound, 94-year-old mom can mostly still walk if someone walks with her and steadies/partially supports her, but her children, who are taking care of her, all have lower back issues and aren't strong enough to walk with her. Thus, we are looking to hire someone who is strong enough to walk with our mom safely from her bed to her chair in the den, or back. No real caregiving experience necessary - walking with her is the only real task you would have -- if you are a caregiver also, great, but it is not required. 95-98% of the time, you would be free to spend your time as you wish, in a comfortable, computer + internet equipped, separate room from my mom. Our mom spends almost all of her time sitting in her chair in our den with another family member (usually her son) who will always be present while you are there.
