About who needs care: C6 quadriplegic. Catheter, colostomy. Both need emptied regularly. However accidental leaks can happen. I am articulate, I can move my arms and above my shoulders and I can turn and twist my head. I can speak normally. However, below my chest, I have no movement. So I do not have use of my lower body or my legs. My hands are in a clamped position and I cannot open them. I require a great deal of assistance. In all tasks and however willing to teach and work with the right person compatibility is a must. I like to be prepared so I try and keep all the items needed for my care to be on hand so there's never a panic going to look for something. I am six feet, two inches tall, waround one hundred and 80 pounds. So my caregiver would have to be strong enough to lift a man of my size. About the care needs: I have never met a stranger so I don't mind the person that likes to talk just about anything in general. Having a good common knowledge of everyday events is fun. I can pretty much talk about anything. Religion and politics. Maybe if we get to know each other well enough. We'll cross that bridge when we get to it. As I stated earlier, the person that would be my caregiver would have to be strong. I am six feet, two inches tall and weigh a hundred and 80 pounds. I'm a C6 quadriplegic, with no mobility below my chest. I use talk to text on my phone. Most of the time, when I am communicating with people. I still take regular phone calls. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
