About who needs care: Mom main health condition is rheumatoid arthritis. She has occasional incontinence. When she is experiencing other problems (UTI, anemia) she may fall frequently. She lives with me (Kathy), but has expressed she would like more companionship and help during the day. Ideal day: Wake at 10 a.m. , have breakfast, watch TV or do some quilting. Snack lunch, then Naptime starts at 2:00 p.m. . Showering on Mondays and Fridays. About the care needs: Pleasant personality not offended if mom just doesn't want to engage that day. She would like to get back into quilting, so a knowledge of sewing would be useful but not required. Note that I work from home so will be around most days, but occupied! We also have a Bernese Mountain Dog puppy (4. 5 months) who is normally with me or my husband. Dog allergies would probably be a problem. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
