About who needs care: Mild Dementia. Needs some assistance transferring with walker. Mobile in wheelchair. Wake up transfer to wheelchair, make breakfast (usually toast and coffee), make sure she takes meds, standby for assist with dressing, help transferring on and off toilet, nap/TV after that. Remind for lunch, toileting assist, companionship, (ROM/PT would be ideal). Make/heat dinner, med reminder, toileting, TV until bedtime, toileting and pajamas, transferring to bed. Daughter lives next door, 4 other children visit on weekends and sporadically during the week. Used to be a 6 room bed and breakfast so you'd have a room and bathroom to yourself. About the care needs: Female preferably. She has a heart valve replacement from 15 years ago that is weakening that can make her lightheaded. Needs reassurance, patience, compassion and companionship. She still wants to be in charge of her own life we just need someone to make sure she's doing so safely. Redirection skills, dementia experience. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
