About who needs care: My mother-in-law lives alone, and wants to be independent but is realizing that she needs some help. She has told us that she is lonely (my husband and I live close but work very difficult jobs and see her as often as we can, but cannot be there during the weekdays when she needs help and companionship). She can walk, but has a difficult time due to diabetes and bad legs, and she is still driving at 79 but we're unsure she should be. We'd love for someone to provide companionship and assistance with errands, appointments and small household tasks. About the care needs: My mother-in-law is an excellent sewer and would love to have someone else she can talk about this with! Someone patient, as sometimes she doesn't wear her hearing aids so it's difficult to communicate with her when this happens. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, and companionship.
