About who needs care: Hello! We are looking for a caring, reliable, and experienced caregiver to help support my father-in-law, who lives with Parkinsons, neuropathy, and mild dementia. He lives at home with his wife (his primary caregiver), and were seeking someone who can provide regular weekly assistance and supervision. He has a great sense of humor, enjoys friendly conversation, and does best with a calm, patient presence. He doesn't have specific hobbies but has an interest in hunting and camping. As he gets cold quickly outside, most activities happen indoors. Duties Include: Supervision at all times to prevent falls Assistance with mobility and safe movement around the house Toileting, bathing, grooming, and hygiene support Medication tracking and distribution Meal and snack preparation + encouraging safe swallowing techniques Companionship and conversation Reminders about unsafe activities (driving, using tools, etc.) Gentle encouragement to do small tasks that help maintain mobility and dexterity Who Were Looking For: Experience with Parkinsons and/or dementia care preferred Someone patient, attentive, and safety-focused Comfortable with personal care and mobility assistance Reliable and able to commit both to the weekly schedule and the full 7-day coverage in March CPR/First Aid or CNA/HHA certifications are a plus Additional Information: The March coverage will require 24/7 care for 7 consecutive days while his wife is out of town Compensation based on experience; please share your desired rate when responding If you believe youd be a good fit, please message with your background, availability, and rate.
