About who needs care: Wife has significant dementia and is unable to walk, so wheelchair bound. She would like to have some woman come assist with shower, dressing, housekeeping: vacuum, wash floor, clean bathrooms, replace bedding, monitor blood sugars by looking at her insulin pump, calling husband if needed - to push a few buttons to follow his instructions to dose insulin ( very easy and always under instruction) , possibly make dinner. She has significant dementia and type 1 diabetes. A caregiver who is 170 lbs or more to assist transfer from wheelchair to couch and toileting. Prefer someone with experience at an assisted living facility. About the care needs: Cheerful but not loud or fast talker. Kind, careful and willing to go slow when doing personal care, transfers. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
