About who needs care: 82-year-old mom with MCI / Dementia living at home with her husband. Looking for part-time caregiver to provide assistance with personal care, meal prep, mobility/exercise, medication reminders, companionship, light housekeeping. About the care needs: Mom is a former kindergarten teacher. Mom may not accept general caregiver assistance initially, this may require patience and describing it as physical therapy or housekeeping until a relationship is established. Lots of opportunities to sort through old pictures and organize, reminisce. Services needed include: meal preparation, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
