About who needs care: I am a Marine Corps veteran who suffers from a spinal cord injury sustained in 2023. I am a quadriplegic person, usually in a power chair, but strong enough to push myself in a manual chair. I have a loving wife and beautiful little girl. We have 2 dogs, one a chocolate lab and the other I rescued when I was stationed in Africa. my father who is 70 years old lives with us and does whatever he can to help us out, but because of his age. He's also very limited on what he can do. I was an active person and try to continue the same as that lifestyle that I had, but with my limitations it differently poses a lot of challenges for me. ideally I'm looking for somebody to help around the house since we are still trying to navigate his life and to clean up our home. Such as organizing my shed, garage and taking things out to be donated or disposed of. About the care needs: someone who is active and likes to exercise. Someone who is handy and able to think outside the box. Preferably somewhere with a sense of humor to match mine. gets along with dogs and doesn't mind physical labor. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, and mobility assistance.
