About who needs care: My husband has been on dialysis for the past 4-5 years. He now has end stage renal disease. He's been in and out of the hospital due to complications. We've had the normal Home Health after hospital stays that only consists of a couple of days per week and, because of early dementia, I can not convince him to do the exercises on his own (not even with my verbal assistance). I am half his weight and need a licensed aid, nurse, etc. About the care needs: My husband is somewhere around 200 lbs. and has End Stage Renal Disease. He's been experiencing, for some time now, weakness, regardless of the after hospital stay(s) and Home Health visits. I am half his weight and only 6 months younger, but it's been quite a challenge to handle him. He's also been diagnosed with early dementia. My husband has always been an outgoing, people person and involved with community affairs before retirement. I'm looking for a caring, compassionate person, who will ask him questions about what he did before retirement, who loves what he did , as if it was their own spouse or relative. My husband was a people person and no one was a stranger. PS: He will also be curious about his caregiver, ask questions and let me know his opinion. Services needed include: transportation, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
