About who needs care: - Mom has moderate dementia and is naturally a happy sweet person. - She enjoys watching game shows, dancing/singing shows, laughter, and some crafts. - Our family prepares meals for her in advance. - She is currently walking with a walker/cane and may need some assistance at times while transferring to bed and her wheelchair. - We need at-home assistance with evenings starting around 5:30 p.m. until about 7:30 p.m. for 3 nights a week and some weekend late mornings/afternoons each month. About the care needs: - Mom's ideal personal care companion is someone who has experience with dementia patients, who is organized and structured, is exceptionally patient, and shows a lot of compassion for the elderly. Services needed include: companionship, feeding, medicine prompting, and mobility assistance.
