About who needs care: Paraplegic but doesn't get out of bed very often. Dementia. What we are looking for is more companionship, sponge bathing, shaving, clothes changing, meal preparation, light laundry and light house cleaning. His interests have disappeared has he ages but he enjoys watching the Price is Right, Little House on the Prairie, or Nature shows. The medical related things my mother and myself take care of, the assistance would allow a break away. About the care needs: We have a family friend who is able to come during the week usually from 10-2, so ideally the timeframe would be evening and even possible overnight care occasionally. Dementia is a tough one and really any personality is fine because everyday is different but a cheerful one is always a blessing. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
