About who needs care: My mom is having trouble standing from a seated position and walking. She is using a walker currently, but still needs assistance even with that. Her short term memory has gotten bad also, so she needs someone who is patient with her. She likes to talk, so a listening ear is required. The underlying conditions she has are osteoarthritis, hypertension, and atrial fibrillation of the heart. About the care needs: Someone with an outgoing personality would be a great fit because my mom likes to talk and make conversation. She sometimes gets confused and she forgets a lot, so someone who is patient is preferred. The physical skills required are ability to assist my mom with standing up and with her walking. Also, helping her dress and bathe. No specific hobbies or interests is needed. Services needed include: companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
