About who needs care: She has severe pulmonary fibrosis and was recently hospitalised for a lung infection that she is fighting off. She was fairly independent before the hospitalization, but now needs help going to the bathroom, getting up, etc. We're hoping that with some time and movement she can get back to where she was before the hospitalization. She's a filipino ex-nurse in her 70s so understand what help she needs, and is very willing to accept it. She has a lot of orchids and plants that she likes to look after, and loves the K-Pop boyband BTS. Her ideal day would be getting up, having a light breakfast and getting dressed. She likes to then read or go on her phone for a while. We would need someone to help her get going in the mornings and then also help her overnight in case she may need anything. About the care needs: Someone outgoing, bubbly, friendly - mom loves to chat if its the right person and personality. She has a very good sense of humor and likes to poke fun at us (her kids) and we do the same back. So someone that can be a bit silly in demeanor or make her laugh. It would be great if they could get her mobility up, through some light PT. but really we need someone to help with getting her bathed, toilet needs, dressed etc. and also some light housekeeping or meal prepping. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
