About who needs care: We are looking for a kind, reliable caregiver to check in on my mother, who is in her 70s and has early dementia, while we are traveling from 11/26-12/2/25. The arrival time is flexible. We need someone to stop by once each evening for 40-45 minutes (we will pay for the full hour), anytime between 3:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. arrival will work. This time can be more flexible on Thanksgiving, or even skipped if absolutely necessary. Responsibilities: Warm up her premade dinner in the microwave and set it up on a plate for her. Provide friendly conversation and companionship. She likes to chat about her cat, church, etc. Feed our elderly cat a small amount of can food with his medicine squirted on top. Requirements: Must be a non-smoker. Must be comfortable with pets (2 cats in the home, but you will likely never see them). Friendly, reliable, and patient demeanor preferred. Additional Information: This position is for one week while we are away, but we travel several times per year, so this could become an ongoing opportunity if its a good fit. Preferably you live or work near Swenson Farms, as we realize 1 hour of pay per day may not be worth the drive time.
