About who needs care: She is recovering from spine surgery. She can only walk with a walker and has lost strength in one hand and arm. She needs help with cooking and cleaning and fixing her hair, grocery shopping, washing clothes, and occasionally transportation. My father lives with her but he's often working, or focused on other things. About the care needs: The caregiver should be honest, kind, thoughtful, considerate, and empathetic. They should also have experience with an elderly female patient recovering from surgery. They should be able to cook a variety of dishes for someone on a strict diet and able to follow doctor's instructions with regard to care. Personal assistance, such as hair care is also needed. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, and mobility assistance.
