About who needs care: We are looking for a calm, grounded woman to help support our 24-year-old daughter during an important season of healing. She graduated with an Aerospace Engineering degree and is incredibly smart, funny, artistic, and insightful. She has also experienced significant trauma and is working closely with her psychiatrist and therapist to taper off several medications safely. Why we need help: She cannot be left unsupervised right now. She needs: Transportation to therapy and doctor appointments (34 times per week) Accountability and companionship to avoid alcohol Supervision at the gym in our apartment building A steady presence during her day as she regains stability and routines She is fully on board with having support and wants to rebuild her life. Coming off her medications can make her tired, quiet, or occasionally short. This isnt personalits part of the healing process. Someone emotionally mature and patient will do well with her. Responsibilities: Drive her to therapy + medical appointments Accompany her on daily walks and to the gym Light housekeeping (dishes, dusting, vacuuming, folding laundry) Simple meal prep Calm companionship during her art or focus blocks Occasional drop-off/pickup at our work (3 minutes away) The ideal person: Kind Emotionally steady Patient and not easily offended Respects boundaries Has compassion for mental health and trauma survivors Can offer gentle encouragement without over-spiritualizing Sees this as meaningful work, a chance to help someone reclaim her life Pay: $2025/hour depending on experience.
