About who needs care: Claudia has brain damage from a brain tumor. She is chair-bound and cannot walk; she can stand momentarily to transfer. She has an easygoing disposition. Claudia has limited short term memory and sometimes get confused. She is (urine) incontinent and wears a brief. About the care needs: We're looking for someone to help Claudia in the mornings: transferring from bed, taking her medicine, bathing/hygiene, and dressing. If time permits, you could also help her with her (YouTube) chair exercises. It is important that her caregiver be patient, respectful. and caring. Physically, they will need to be able to help Claudia transfer (with a gait belt or hoyer lift) and push her wheelchair. Reliability and honesty are important to us. Experience with seniors and/or skilled nursing facilities are valuable.
