About who needs care: Had 2 strokes in 2023. Need transportation and companionship to get out of the house. Interested in art, dance, cooking, shopping, crafts, Bingo, games, etc. Have already found a nonprofit art studio downtown Clarksville that I am interested in and cannot get there by myself. I have recently signed up at the Ajax Community Center and would also like to go there. I have found a place about 45 min. from my home where we can go and pick our own flowers. Would very much like to go there. Need someone to accompany me to go shopping. Like to go to Goodwiil to find things for crafting, etc. I would like to have someone for 4 hours ( from 11 - 3) one day a week. I can do any day except Wednesday - I have therapy that day. I have recuperated beyond expectations from my strokes and can even drive myself; but I need help getting out of the house and socializing. Also, I could also use help with an appropriate amount of exercising, especially walking. I have a beautiful pond with a walking trail behind my house and would probably enjoy walking if I had a companion. Need someone with a car who will provide transportation for the outings. About the care needs: Need someone with their own transportation who is kind, gentle and personable to get me out of the house one day a week from 11 - 3 for companionship and socializing. Need them to drive me in their own car. The only day I am not available is Wed. Services needed include: transportation, and companionship.
