Job Title: Caregiver For Patient With Lewy Body Dementia

Job Summary: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated caregiver to provide personalized care for a patient with Lewy Body Dementia who is currently bed bound. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing the complexities associated with dementia care and a passion for enhancing the quality of life for individuals facing these challenges. Key Responsibilities: - Provide comprehensive assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including but not limited to: - Bathing and personal hygiene - Feeding and meal preparation - Administering medications as prescribed - Assisting with mobility and positioning - Ensure the safety and comfort of the patient at all times. - Provide support for a pet dog, including feeding, walking, and any other required care. - Perform light housekeeping duties, including: - Cleaning living areas - Doing laundry - Maintaining a tidy and organized environment - Prepare healthy meals tailored to the patient’s dietary needs. - Attend and accompany the patient to medical appointments, ensuring their needs are met during visits. - Respond to any additional caregiver requests or tasks as assigned. - Maintain clear communication with family members and healthcare professionals regarding the patient’s condition and care. Qualifications: - Previous experience in caregiving, particularly with patients with dementia or related conditions. - Compassionate, patient, and understanding attitude toward individuals with cognitive challenges. - Ability to perform physical tasks involved in caregiving, such as lifting and transferring the patient if necessary. - Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. - Reliability and a strong work ethic. - Relevant certifications in caregiving or dementia care are preferred. Working Conditions: - The caregiving role will primarily take place in the patient's home environment. - Must be able to work flexible hours to accommodate the patient's needs.
