About who needs care: My dad is healing from a non-traumatic brain injury. He currently is wrapping up his last week of acute rehab - speech, occupational, and physical therapy. We are exploring costs and options of whether he will be fit to go home and require care, or move them to assisted-living. He lives with my mom, his wife, she is mostly independent but does have a physical disability that limits her. She is not able to assist him physically. We are looking for someone to assist him with personal needs and open to exploring options for therapy at home, to continue his progress. This has been very hard for everyone to navigate, as my dad was the head of household, essentially my mom's caretaker. I am located two hours away at South Jersey coast and my sister lives in Germany, in the army, so his care is our main concern right now. They are currently located in Sanatoga Greene apartments. Subject to a potential move within the tri counties. About the care needs: Brain cancer Chemo/radiation Craniotomy Nasal cavity hole repair Memory and cognitive skills would be beneficial. Physical therapy. Services needed include: feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
