About who needs care: My grandmother lives with my parents. She has dementia and Alzheimer's (she's 102). I'm looking for an elder sitter to stay with my grandmother for a few hours and keep her safe so my parents can run errands or go out on a date. No special care is required - my grandmother just needs to be kept away from stairs and prevented from wandering outside alone or using the stove. About the care needs: Experience with dementia/Alzheimer's patients required. My parents would likely appreciate someone who has previous health care experience (registered nurse or certified nursing assistant, employment at a senior care facility, or something similar). Although I am planning this as a gift for my parents, if this works out, I'd like to be able schedule additional appointments for them on an ad hoc basis. Services needed include: companionship.
