About who needs care: Currently in long-term care with Hospice support at a nursing home. Wanting to bring her home for familiarity of setting and more direct and personal care. About the care needs: Quiet, personable, low-keyed, gentle, understanding Christian woman to tag-team with Hospice to provide extended end-of-life care in a respectful, trust-building manner. Meet caregiver responsibilities without being overly enthusiastic or over-bearing. Able to perform housekeeping and personal hygiene duties in a patient, positive, low intensity, accommodating way. Given the patient's inability to ambulate, the biggest physical challenge will be to transport her between bed and specialty chair using a lift machine for a person weighing less than 150 pounds. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
