About who needs care: This is for mother-in-law. She had one leg amputated above the knee several years ago, and is in a wheelchair. She lives in a ground-floor apartment in Doylestown. She needs help with cleaning the apartment, laundry, changing sheets, personal hygiene, cleaning out fridge, and possibly some grocery shopping and cooking About the care needs: Jane (my mother-in-law) is a lovely person, but is not that excited about having someone in her home--even though she KNOWS she needs help. I think an important part of finding a "match" for her will be about the companionship and whether the person can make her feel comfortable in their presence. She is lonely so someone who is a good conversationlist will be a plus. She is college-educated and quite smart, though her short-term memory isn't what it used to be. I think she will be more comfortable with a female caregiver. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
