About who needs care: Full-Time Elder Caregiver Dementia Experienced, Nursing Background Preferred Schedule: Full-Time | Flexible Hours | Occasional Nights & Weekends | Live-In Optional We are seeking a warm, compassionate, and highly experienced elder caregiver to support a vibrant individual (F) living with dementia. This is a full-time role offering flexibility, optional overtime, and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in someones daily life. Key Responsibilities: - Daily personal care & hygiene assistance - Medication reminders and health monitoring - Light meal preparation and dietary support - Accompaniment to in-home and out-of-home activities (e. g., hair salon, nails, walks) - Engagement in stimulating, dementia-appropriate activities - Occasional errands or appointments - De-escalation and support during moments of confusion or agitation Requirements: - 5-10+ years of hands-on dementia care experience (non-negotiable) - Medical training preferred (RN, LPN, CNA, or similar certification) - Strong experience managing behavioral shifts in dementia, including redirection and de-escalation - Reliable personal transportation - Comfortable with large dogs - LGBTQ+ friendly and inclusive mindset - Must be patient, emotionally intelligent, and able to work independently Preferred: - Open to live-in arrangements (please specify availability) - Flexibility for some evenings and weekends - Willingness to collaborate with family members and other professionals involved in care Compensation: Competitive and commensurate with experience and certifications.
