I need a hands-on care provider for my mother in her 70s. Duties include transportation (doctor's appointments, errands, etc.). Preferences for a caregiver who is a non-smoker and CPR / first-aid trained. My mother is coming home from a recent bowel resection due to diverticulitis and now has an ostomy bag. She also has a broken humerus bone in her right arm, which makes it difficult to empty her ostomy bag. She cannot change/clean/replace this bag on her own, which needs to be done 3-4 times per week. I'm looking for someone who is a CNA or higher with experience changing ostomy bags. She would only need 4 times per week, with around 2 hours per visit. I'm ok with someone not having CNA, but MUST have experience with changing ostomy bags. Days and hours are flexible.
